Mid-Canada Line Radar (recollections)

Recollections of a DRTE Radio Physics Laboratory participant in the McGill Fence trials, written in the early 1990s. Contains the only published mention of Project Wood Duck found anywhere: thirty RPL staff spending two weeks at Jack Miner’s sanctuary counting birds through the radar path, and a film of ‘Operation Wood Duck’ narrated by Del Hansen. Also covers the Lake Ontario ‘Spiderweb’ array and the Grey Goose stations at Amery, Gillam and Kettle Rapids.
