The prosecution’s case, from the memoir of Grigory Kisunko - general designer of the Soviet ABM system and a bitter enemy of deputy minister V.I. Markov. In this excerpt (hosted on famhist.ru) Kisunko calls the over-the-horizon radar program ‘Markov’s scam’ and Kuzminsky ‘Markov’s friend’: the Nikolaev experimental Duga ‘detected no missile launches but jammed fishing radio in the Barents Sea,’ and Chernobyl and Bolshaya Kartel repeated the result. A partisan account by a man fighting his own ministry war - used on this site as the counter-voice to Babakin’s defence, not as settled fact. Quotations on this site are our translation.
