The backbone biography of Akushsky, written by Boris Malashevich from Akushsky’s personal file in the SVTs archive and colleagues’ recollections, and posted to the Russian Virtual Computer Museum in 2008. It quotes the handwritten autobiography and reproduces the personnel form itself: the 1927 rejection from Moscow University, ‘higher education obtained by self-education’ in his own hand, the career chain from human computer to SVTs deputy scientific director, the two doctoral dissertations, wife Galina Derber, and the date of death. Quotations on this site are our translation. The museum also hosts a shorter Ukrainian-museum biography and an English adaptation by Alexander Nitusov - the English version contradicts the personnel file on his education, so its unique anecdotes are treated as single-source on this site.
